Features of Valve Pairs Versions
Special Versions of VP (ÒÑ-1 and ÒÑ-2)
The VP of special versions are designed for use in the pumps during viscous oil production. The use of special material – tungsten carbide, with a high density (14.6 g/cm3, the density of stainless steel is 7.8 g/cm3) gives an opportunity for the pump to work more effectively, especially with heavy, viscous oils with a high gas factor.
The use of the present VP is cost-effective on account of the interrepair time increase, in some cases on account of additionally produced oil.
The carbostellite version combines the best characteristics of stellite and hard-alloy valve pairs.
Standard Version of VP (ST è SS)
Stellite VP provide an excellent combination of mechanical stability, resistance to attack by corrosive media and hydrogen sulfide corrosion.
The designation of the SS material (the 95Õ18 steel) is the parts on which the requirement of high hardness and wearing quality is imposed at temperatures up to 500°C and exposed to moderate aggressive environment. The steel is corrosive, the martensic class. The steel has:
- high resistibility in sea and river water, alkaline solutions with concentration 1…20% and organic substances (mineral oil at 20 – 220°);
- good resistibility in nitric acid and acetic acid;
- satisfactory resistibility in ortho-phosphoric acid;
- bad resistibility in muriatic and sulfuric acids.
Balls and seats made of steels 45Õ13, 95Õ18 and stellite are widely used and they are suitable for the operation of pumps the service life of which is not more than 150-200 days.
