It is common knowledge that several factors are of great importance for long work of the plunger pair: the microrelief of the friction surfaces and the straightness of the barrel, the plunger and of the hole in the place of the pump location.
The most favorable microprofile is produced using a long-stroke honing that significantly surpasses by its properties the hîning with the superposition of the oscillating motion of the hîning head and by this principle the majority of the modern honing machines are designed.
The inner barrel passage surface-plastic deformation by burnishing, unreeling and rotation treatment (Perm), does not create on the surface the necessary microrelief, that causes the seizure of the “hard” plunger in the course of work because of the sediments present in the pumped fluids.
