The lock support with the shut-off valve provides a reliable hermetic sealing and the attachment of the RHBM well sucker-rod pump. When the pump is lifted it blocks the oilwell tubing entrance preventing the lift of oil and gas.
The shutoff vàlve is convenient for the surface control, it does not make more complicated the conditions of oil production, it is easily installed in the well and it is guaranteed that it can be extracted.
The technological advantages of the shut-off valve are the following ones:

the shutoff vàlve significantly decreases the costs connected with the change of the well pumps;
-
the shutoff vàlve completely excludes the negative influence of the pump change on the well productivity and preserves its flow rate on a high level;
-
the expenses on the shutoff vàlve purchase are significantly lower than the costs connected with the change of the insert sucker-rod pumps from the killed well and the losses connected with such capping a well.
The use of shutoff vàlve will give an opportunity to exclude:
- the operation of capping a well;
- the well starting after capping;
- the operation of well debit restoration.
The shutoff vàlve will provide:
- free lowering and lifting of the pump;
- an increase in safety;
- the improvement of the works ecological level;
- the well sealing during all the process of the pump change;
- the decrease in the well shutdown.
Reliability Guarantees:
- This vàlve is reliable at any installation depth and with any pressure difference;
- The vàlve can be used in the ambient containing oxygen and carbon dioxide.
Design of Lock Support

The lîck suððort with the ÎÌ-73.Á50.000 shutîff vàlve consists of the lock support (4), which is connected by means of the sleeve (3) with the body (5) of the shutîff vàve. The body (5) contains the cut-off mechanism, including the seat (1), the ball (2), the nave box (9), the ring (10), the rod (7), the bearing sleeve (6) and the fixing ball (11). The plug (12) serves to preserve the elements of the shutîff vàlve (the removal of the plug (12) is obligatory before the connection of the lîck suððort with the shutîff vàve with the filter ÔÍÂ-73.Á02.000 and before the placing of it in the well).
Description of Lock Support Operation with Shut-off Valve
The lîck suðport and the shutîff vàlve operate in the following way:
The lock support is installed on the lower section of the oilwell tubing and is lowered in the well. During the lowering in the well the shutîff vàlve is in covered state, as the result of it the oil flows into oilwell tubing without the overflow on the ground surface. Later the pump is lowered in the oilwell tubing till the setting on the taper sleeve of the lîck suðport. The pump presses on the shut-off valve ball and completely opens it for the oil flow into the pump. When the pump is removed from the lîck suðport the lock releases the shutîff vàve ball, it lîcks under the influence of the spring, shutting off the flow of oil and gas in the oilwell tubing.
To drain the liquid remaining after the pump removal it is necessary to push the shutoff vàlve ball for a short period of time using a special device.
